Must Have: Yes! Yes! Yes!
April 14, 2008 by Haidee
This is the first of many brief posts on my style ”must haves”. Those everyday favorites and special items without which I cannot live.
My first “must have” is really two with the same name…Orgasm. I must have that of the carnal variety as well as the Nars blush so appropriately named. I have yet to find another blush that gives me such perfectly natural rosy cheeks that come only from either running a couple of miles or…

After the airlines put liquid restrictions in place, I joined the Bare Minerals band wagon and fell in love with their “Radiance” products. There are different shades, from pinky to toasty, and they can be used as blush or as bronzers. Once you find the right shades for your complexion, it’s hard to make a mistake with them.
If you make the trek up the Tysons store to buy (as opposed to ordering online), you’ll probably get freebies thrown into your bag.
This might sound silly, but this stuff made me want to play and experiment with make up again. I haven’t felt that way since I was a teenager.
Hey Upstart - I’ve heard of Bare Minerals. Aren’t these the products that you can fall asleep in and not worry about washing your face?
I am with you on losing my sense of adventure with make-up. As my life takes on other priorities, I’ve lost interest in these “fun” purchases, but when I’m getting dolled up for a night out, I’m pissed that I’ve neglected my make-up bag. I say every three months or so, treat yourself to something new. The Chanel counter at Belk is fun, but nothing beats a trip to Sephora!
The ads say you can sleep in it and I may or may not have testing this a few times.
Haidee, great job with this site. This is such a great resource. I’m definitely going to try that blush.
I find myself reaching for that Lancome under eye concealer a lot, but I’ve also really liked Trish Mcevoy as well. Lip gloss is the other must have , Estee Lauder seems less sticky than some.
Hi lolo, thanks for visiting. I’ve not tried Trish McEvoy. For undereye concealor, I really like Bobbi Brown’s. Of course, I’ve purchased it twice and each time the container has broken. I should’ve taken it back but didn’t.
Lip gloss is a must have. But you MUST never try Clinique’s. It tastes horrible!
