Starry Nights at Veritas

Charlottesville in the summer is heaven. Vineyards, polo games, weekend drives through the countryside, croquet…I like to fill my calendar with activities that conjur up the feeling that I am in some Town & Country magazine spread.
One of my favorite Charlottesville summertime events is the Starry Night series at Veritas. Four fabulous evenings nestled in the hills of central VA with wine, cheese and music. I know I’m not the only one excited about Starry Nights. Each time I go, I’m pleasantly surprised at the turn out and always wondering, “where did all these people come from?” The crowd can get quite big, but meeting new folks on the dancefloor or in line for more wine is part of the fun.
If you’ve not heard of the Starry Nights series before, get out your picnic baskets and blankets and put these dates on your calendar. You can reserve a table and dinner in advance, but I rather enjoy buying tix there, bringing our own picnic, and buying a few bottles of my favorite VA Viognier.
Saturday, June 14th, 7-11 p.m., with King Cadillac (Retro Rock ‘n’ Roll)
Join us for the first Starry Nights of the season! There will be wine, live music and food under the stars, from 7 to 11 p.m. Entry at the door or ahead of time is $10 and includes a Veritas glass.
