Barracks Sidewalk Sale this weekend

If you can brave the chaotic parking and crowds of bargain shoppers, head on out to Barracks Road Shopping Center starting today through Sunday for the sidewalk sale.

(And Scarpa’s Imelda Marcos Sale until tmr, June 20!)

While I rarely find anything I need displayed on card tables out on the sidewalk, there are a few shops I’ll check out…

I’ll definitely stop by Scarpa, a local favorite for shoes, clothing and cool accessories. I’m not sure what they’re doing for the sidewalk sale, but until tomorrow, JUNE 20, everything in the store is 30% off. I might go pick up those wooden sunglasses I’ve dreamt about!

I’m also fan of Creme de la Creme. It never fails to offer a great last minute hostess gift. In other words, I can send my husband there an hour before a dinner party and be sure he picks up something appropriate. Perhaps they’ll have their cute little french tin signs on sale or some of their gorgeous french table linens.

On that same side of Barracks, I’ll definitely check out Neroli Spa. They carry one of my favorite body care lines, Fresh. I absolutely love the aroma of the Sugar Lemon products.

If they are participating, I’m most likely to find something I need at Blue Ridge Mountain Sports. I could absolutely use a new pair of Tevas or a new BPA-free water bottle or a new kayak (first must learn to kayak)…something’s bound to be of interest on their sidewalk.

I will definitely pop into The Happy Cook and Plow & Hearth. I always see things here that I would have never thought of, but feel that I must have. I’m hoping P&H will have some summer stuff on sale, like outdoor tiki torches or, fingers crossed, a horsehoe set.

While I don’t need any roasted peanuts, I might stop by The Virginia Shop for a nostalgic “Virginia is for Lovers” t-shirt, a perfect gift for out of towners.
