Local Artist’s Bright Idea! Contest and discount for CvilleStyle readers

June 29, 2008 by Haidee

Another local Etsy artist recently contacted me to show me his very creative objets d’arte made from light bulbs. What a bright idea! I’m all for recycling and reusing objects in new ways!

Ray’s signature piece is a cement lightbulb coat hook, pictured above, and CvilleStyle will be giving away one of these bad boys. Such a clever design on which to hang your hat!Just comment below to enter. Let us know what you think or chime in with another innovative idea on reusing objects. Or just say hey! We’ll pick the winner later this month.

Ray is also offering CvilleStyle readers 10% off their purchase from his Etsy store for the month of July. Just follow these instructions to get your goods for less.

Love the idea of using lightbulbs as coat hooks — very cool! I could also see using lots of these cement (or other-wise decorated) light bulbs hanging from a ceiling on strings as a kind of anthropologie-esque art installation. Any takers??

Great idea, Heather. I’d love to see little ones used as drawer pulls.
