CvilleStyle welcomes new writers

Let’s all give a warm welcome to the new writers on CvilleStyle! We are excited to have Dr. Erin Davis, HeatherM, and Ashley as part of the team. They are an energetic and creative bunch dedicated to writing about stylish living in Charlottesville.

You will also see a few posts here and there from some more elusive, yet witty and informative, writers who will delve into some hot topics such as Fashion Don’ts and Relationship Dos. With such a fabulous team, you are sure to find fresh content daily covering a wide range of lifestyle topics. Without further ado…

HeatherMdebuted on CvilleStyle with her very crafty and informative post about how to spruce up cabinetswith a little design and ingenuity. You can expect more on housewarming and creative pursuits from this innovative writer who moved to Charlottesville in 2006 from the big apple, where she worked in marketing for the Estee Lauder Companies. She currently works as an account executive at a local advertising agency. A self-professed fan of Martha Stewart for years, HeatherM enjoys do-it-yourself projects that involve sewing, modge podge, handmade paper, and paint (all of the above, although not always together) in addition to amateur interior design and beginner cooking. All crafts and creativity aside, Heather earned a degree in French from Dartmouth College, which she uses to contemplate the perfect wine and fromage combination.

Ashley Simpson recently announced the latest mark down at the Scarpa sale, and you can be on the look out for more style coverage from this hot young writer (who we expect will soon grace the pages of Vanity Fair and / or Vogue). Ashley is a Cville native and a recent grad of Oberlin College, where she majored in comparative literature and history. She must have studied the 80s because I just spotted her sporting the very hip and back-in-style elastic belt. If it isn’t her clothing, Ashley’s superb writing and charming personality make her a valuable addition to the CvilleStyle team.

If you’ve already met Dr. Erin Davis through the Artful Doggercolumn, then you know what a witty, unique and informative addition she is to the CvilleStyle team. She is the resident expert (literally) on all things pet-related and provides a weekly dose of animal info through her column. A proud graduate of Texas A&M University, Dr. Davis moved to Charlottesville shortly after graduating vet school in 2004. She practiced as an equine vet for 2 years, and currently practices in the area as a small animal veterinarian. She is an avid runner and rock climber as well as an aspiring chef and gardener. If she isn’t traveling between Europe and the Caribbean, you can find Dr. Davis addressing all of your pet questions in the Artful Dogger column exclusively on CvilleStyle.

The go-to source for ideas and discussion on Charlottesville style continues to expand. We’ll announce even more writers in the near future, but for now, please give a warm welcome to these lovely ladies who bring so much to the team with their energy and enthusiasm for living the good life in our charming town.
