Planning a wedding? You’re in luck. This past Tuesday, October 28th, individuals from Rock, Paper, Scissors, Hedge Fine Blooms, Jason Keefer Photography, and Real Food, among others, gathered for the first time to talk wedding aesthetics, share professional styles, and of course, socialize – all in hopes of further preparing themselves to help Charlottesville’s brides-to-be.

Blends and varietals factor into my selections, but regional qualities float over my head, and when it comes to experiencing “hints of mahogany” and “flavors of nectarine,” I couldn’t be less aware.

You don’t have to be shoe-obsessed to appreciate the selection at Scarpa. With metallic flats by Bernardo and Claudia Cuiti, geometric pumps by Taryn Rose, and hand-crafted Lucchese cowboy boots, the Barracks Road boutique strikes a playful balance between Big City chic and local taste.
